Tupac and Biggie grew up in very different environments, but both boys aimed to become bigger than they were. Tupac was given a heavy weight of responsibility from his activist mother, but Tupac was also hugely creative and he hated being poor. Big was a bit spoiled by his jamaican born mother, but the neighborhood he lived in showed him how hard life could be. Both boys felt the pull of leadership, but what would they do with this calling?

With the success of groups like Run DMC and the Beastie Boys and artists like LL Cool J, boys from all over the country started dreaming of being rappers when they grew up. Two of these boys would become the greatest Rappers of their generation, only to see their stardom quickly taken from them, along with their life.

I was listening to a True Crime podcast when the podcaster commented that they had had a problem finding scholarly information about why a person would commit familicide.
A spark flared in my mind, and this podcast was born.
