Fort Bragg, NC in the wee hours of the morning, February 17, 1970. A call comes in to emergency services for help. Some people had been stabbed. Those 'people' turned out to be a pregnant mother and her to little girls. The attack on their lives was brutal, and there was preliminary evidence to suggest Manson type killings had reached North Carolina: particularly when the remaining member of the family tells his tale. Captain Jeffrey MacDonald says four hippies killed his family. Investigators aren't so sure. And, the truth of the matter will still be unsettled 50 years after the fact.

I was listening to a True Crime podcast when the podcaster commented that they had had a problem finding scholarly information about why a person would commit familicide.
A spark flared in my mind, and this podcast was born.
